CuZn42 is lead-free brass and the obvious replacement for classic free-machining brass whenever lead has to be excluded. The two-phase structure makes the material easy to machine and excellent to hot form despite the absence of lead. Under EN it is designated CW510L.
CuZn42 is RoHS compliant, easy to soft solder and suitable for contact with drinking water. This gives it the advantage wherever leaded brass is no longer an option for regulatory reasons.
We supply CuZn42 as round bars ex stock. Cut to your dimensions, no minimum order.
