CuZn36Pb2As is dezincification resistant brass. The small addition of arsenic suppresses dezincification, that is the selective leaching of zinc which can lead to component failure in ordinary brass in contact with water. This makes the material the right choice wherever brass is permanently exposed to water. Under EN it is designated CW602N.
Machinability is good, whereas cold formability is only limited.
