Brass & Special Brass CuZn35Ni3Mn2AlPb (CW710R)

CuZn35Ni3Mn2AlPb is a special brass of medium to high strength with good seawater resistance. The nickel content markedly improves corrosion resistance, manganese and aluminium raise the strength. This puts the material at home in apparatus engineering and shipbuilding, wherever load bearing components are permanently in contact with seawater or a humid atmosphere. Under EN it is designated CW710R, the earlier DIN designation is CuZn35Ni2 with the number 2.0540.

Machinability is medium.
