Brass & Special Brass CuZn37Mn3Al2PbSi (CW713R)
CuZn37Mn3Al2PbSi is the high-strength structural material among the special brasses. Manganese, aluminium and silicon lift strength and wear resistance well above the level of ordinary brasses and make the material particularly interesting for sliding loads. Under EN it is designated CW713R, under the earlier DIN designation it is known as CuZn40Al2 with the number 2.0550.
Added to this is good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, to slightly aggressive waters and gases and to oil corrosion. Machinability is medium.
