Typical applications

CuSn12-C is a tough, hard-wearing cast material with good wear resistance and good emergency-running properties, making it also suitable for high sliding speeds. This material is particularly suitable for parts that must withstand surface pressure combined with impact loads and that are subject to frictional wear. 

CuSn12-C is distinguished by good corrosion resistance (including in seawater) and is resistant to cavitation stress. 

For CuSn12-C, disclosure obligations under the REACH Regulation apply due to its lead content of max. 0.7%.
