RG7 is the most widely used red bronze alloy in mechanical engineering. Under DIN EN 1982 the material is designated CuSn7Zn4Pb7-C, with material number CC493K. It is also known under the earlier DIN designation CuSn7ZnPb and the earlier material number 2.1090, and in drawings and enquiries usually simply as RG7. The material offers medium hardness, good emergency running properties and sufficient wear resistance with very good machinability, making it the economical standard for plain bearings in general mechanical engineering.
We supply RG7 as round bars, flat bars, hexagonal bars and tubes ex stock. Larger bushings are produced by centrifugal casting. Cut to your dimensions, no minimum order.

Acc. to DIN EN 1982, 8.2.2 the above min. values for continuous cast (GC) are only valid for sizes up to 300 mm. For larger sizes these values are only a guideline.
