Cast Bronze CuSn12Ni2-C (CC484K)

In the field of cast bronzes, CuSn12Ni2-C is a particularly tough, hard-wearing material with very high wear resistance. This material is also suitable for high sliding speeds and surface pressures and, thanks to the addition of nickel, offers very good corrosion resistance. CuSn12Ni2-C is also resistant to seawater.

Acc. to DIN EN 1982, 8.2.2 the above min. values for continuous cast (GC) are only valid for sizes up to 300 mm. For larger sizes these values are only a guideline.

Typical applications

CuSn12Ni2-C is a very tough, hard-wearing cast material with good wear resistance and good emergency-running properties, making it also suitable for high sliding speeds. Its machinability, however, is only moderate to difficult.
